A Fish in the Shoe

It was the middle of august
A warm summer day
And little boy Lou
Wanted to go out and play.

Before going out
He needed to put on his shoes
Only to find...

A fish in his shoe!

"Hey!" said Lou,
"Who put a fish in my shoe?
I better go find out who."

Fist Lou went up to his Dad.
"I don't know what to do!" said Lou,
"someone put an

Yucky
Stinky
Smelly
Fish in my shoe!
Was it you?"

"This morning I went fishing," said Dad,
"And I caught a big fish
But I gave it to Mom
To prepare for our evening dish."

Lou went up to his Mom next.
"I don't know what to do!" said Lou,
"Someone put an
Icky
Yucky
Stinky
Smelly
Fish in my shoe!
Was it you?"

"It couldn't have been me," said Mom,
"As I dropped in on the floor,
But the cat picked it up
And he ran out the door!"

Finally Lou went up to the cat.
"I don't know what to do!" said Lou,
"Someone put an
Icky
Yucky
Stinky
Smelly
Fish in my shoe!
Was it you?"

"Alas, it was I!" said the cat,
"It was a present for you!
I am terribly sorry
For leaving a fish in your shoe!"

"It's OK," said Lou,
"My quest is at bay,
Now I can go outside
And play, play, play!"
